It all began with a pandemic. The disease killed thousands of mostly older people but once it was finally contained it was the social and economic aftermath which did the most damage. Thousands of able-bodied men languished on dole queues while feminists continued to whinge at every imagined affront. The high level of youth unemployment led to the inevitable social problems, race riots and general disorder. Worst of all were the scenes of young females, the future wives and mothers of the nation scantily clad, drinking and fornicating and then expecting the already over-stretched welfare system to pick up the pieces. Eventually something snapped. The men had had enough and in truth their feelings were shared by a significant number of females who had tired of attempting to compete in the brutal male world of work and yearned for a less complicated life of domesticity. In the early days of the movement, some of the most prominent leaders were female, although once the movement’s influence grew they tended to take a back seat as was only proper.
Several wealthy industrialists, some of whom had been on the wrong side of malicious feminist allegations took an interest in the movement and provided it with much needed funding. Suddenly billboards started appearing with outrageously sexist posters intended to draw the ire of women’s lib organisations. It worked. The billboards stirred up controversy and spokesmen from the movement were regularly asked to appear on television and radio which provided an important pulpit. Rather than crushing the movement as its opponents had hoped, this publicity only led to greater successes.
It was now normal for panel discussions to include spokesmen from the movement, always middle aged soberly dressed men clad, pronouncing on the major topics of the day in measured tones. It was a stark contrast to their hysterical feminist and leftist opponents. Then came the election of 2022 which was to be the last one in which women were allowed to participate. The liberals and the left were soundly defeated and a coalition of conservative nationalists came to power with the movement holding the balance. The price of their support was the passing of some of their key items of legislation and a couple of apparently minor ministerial portfolios. No one at the time knew why they wanted the women’s ministry and employment rather than more prestigious posts but it soon became clear.
The movement went to work assiduously dismantling the architecture of the feminist revolution. First came the Restriction of Female Employment Act of 2024. This act gave preference to males in all jobs and forbade females from acting in any kind of managerial or supervisory roles which involved male employees. Given the high levels of unemployment, this proved a surprisingly popular piece of legislation. In reality the precarious employment situation meant that jobs for women had already become scarce and many females had become used to accepting the most menial of roles. With this legislation secured the movement managed to persuade its coalition partners to pass legislation restricting female education to high school level. After all what was the point of preparing them for careers that no longer existed and filling their silly heads with education was a recipe for disaster.
The Ministry For Women (initially renamed the Department of Female Affairs and later renamed again the Female Protectorate) worked equally hard. They found a ready ally in some of the conservative Christian and Islamic parties in the coalition as they re-wrote the rulebook. Abortion was banned and access to contraceptives was restricted to lawfully married women with the written consent of their husbands. Around this time, the conservative nationalists managed to re-introduce national military service for young men. The movement saw the opportunity and proposed what would become the Community Service Program. Unmarried females aged 18 and over would be expected to pay community service visit to male seniors. The dwindling feminist movement howled in protest, arguing that this was a cover for exploitation. Little did they know that movement agreed. They had long believed that the best way of instilling obedience and submission in errant young females was to introduce them to the peculiar delights of the ageing male cock. The knub of the movement’s philosophy was that sexual liberation was the source of all society’s ills. As long as nubile females had a say in who had access to their bodies, then they also had to power to manipulate. Take that away from them and everything else would fall into place.
And so, every morning an army of young females dressed like the domestic servants of yore, set out from their homes ostensibly to provide company to older gentlemen and to help them with their various domestic needs. Perhaps some of the gentlemen who invited these girls into their homes had pure motives and were happy to chat while the girls went about their chores but many were not. The bad ones, and there were many bad ones, took the hint and exploited the girls mercilessly For most girls community service was an unpleasant transition to the domestic and sexual servitude of marital lives. But quite a few of the gentlemen had endured the worst excesses of feminism and having a young female under their thrall was too much of an opportunity to miss. Who knows how many fragile female forms had to endure punishment for some sin committed by a woman long ago.
Some girls took to their new status without complaint but many did not. At this time, free speech was relatively unfettered. The movement and its allies had relied upon free speech provisions to prevent their messages from being censored. But it did mean that feminist malcontents could also foment rebellion and this led to the great ‘Resistance’ uprising of 2025. Naked female protesters thronged the city streets much to the amusement of young men. It was swiftly and brutally crushed and irregulars from the movement played an active role in this. The ringleaders were rounded up and sent to the first of what would become a network of Reform and Rehabilitation Centres.
The rebellion gave the movement the opportunity it needed to pass its final most important law: the suffrage act of 2025. This act removed women’s right to vote and to participate in politics at anything beyond local level. It was passed overwhelmingly. Thus, it was almost inevitable that when the next election was held in 2026 the movement would be swept into power with a landslide majority and they could now rule without their coalition partners. The very nervous young females of the nation awoke to the news that the New Moral Order had dawned.
